TNC Predator’s run is cut short by a first-round loss against Vici Gaming during the playoffs of ONE Esports Dota 2 Invitational Singapore.
Vici Gaming earned their revenge over their loss against TNC Predator at Chengdu earlier this year. The team has grown very strong since their last bout against TNC Predator, and it clearly shows in their results. Vici would go on to win the whole tournament, beating Evil Geniuses cleanly in three games at the Grand Finals.
Meanwhile, TNC Predator has not been able to answer their opponents’ tactics. The team barely survived the group stage, inching ahead of Team Aster and J.Storm in a group that also included Virtus.pro, Team Secret, and Alliance. TNC’s only wins during the group stage came from their matches against Team Aster and J.Storm.
Moving Forward from the ONE Esports Dota 2 Invitational Singapore
For their performance in the tournament, TNC Predator is taking home a US$10,000 wallet. As ONE Esports Singapore is not part of the Dota Pro Circuit, none of the competing teams will get any DPC points.
It was announced that ONE Esports Dota will return to Singapore in June 2020. It will be the fourth and final Major of the 2019-2020 DPC. Prior to that, another non-DPC tournament will be organized by ONE Esports, this time in Jakarta in April 2020.
