TNC Predator brings home US$300,000 and secures 4,850 DPC points for winning the first Major of this year’s Dota Pro Circuit. They defeated Vici Gaming in four games to become MDL Major Chengdu 2019 Champions.
TNC Predator remained strong, performing very well in the group stages just like they did in Hamburg. This time, TNC Predator faced Fighting PandaS, EHOME, and Team Unknown. They finished in convincing fashion, scoring 4-0 over their opponents.
No Introductions Necessary
Their strong start allowed TNC Predator to have a safer path to victory in the MDL Major. In the upper bracket, the team doesn’t let their guard down even with their advantage. They bring down Alliance, J.Storm, and Vici Gaming on their way to the Grand Finals.
Vici Gaming bounces back, ready to face TNC again. However, the upper bracket finals repeats itself in the Grand Finals. TNC perfectly executed a Morphling-Earthshaker combo, which TNC used in two out of the three games they won in the Grand Finals. Vici Gaming failed to find any answer on TNC’s tactics, and as such TNC Predator claimed the crown.
Early Homerun at MDL Major
With the win, TNC Predator has virtually collected enough DPC points to qualify for The International 2020. In spite of this, TNC Predator remains hungry for more, and they are already setting their sights at the next Major, DreamLeague Season 13.
The DreamLeague Season 13 SEA Qualifiers will be held on December 1-3, 2020. Apart from TNC Predator, other formidable SEA teams will join the fray such as Reality Rift, Fnatic, Cignal Ultra, and Geek Fam.
