The final day of the MDL Changsha Major group stage is all wrapped up, setting the mid-week playoff brackets that will see 10 teams slug out for the third to the last Dota 2 Pro Circuit Major Championship of the season.

MDL Changsha Major divided the 12 participating teams into two groups, each having to play five best of 2 matches.

TNC Predator went toe to toe against tough teams in group B that include TI7 runner ups Newbee, reigning EPICENTER Major champions PSG.LGD, NA squad VGJ.Storm who came from a fresh victory at GESC Thailand Minor, as well as current DPC 6th placer Vici Gaming and the resurging Vega Squadron.

A game of splits

The boys opened the first day of the group stage with 2 series against Chinese teams Newbee and Vici Gaming that both ended up in splits. We acquired 2 points from day 1 to sit at the middle of the groups.

Day 2 was just as tough as the first day as we ended up another couple of series with splits, this time against VGJ.Storm and PSG.LGD.

With only one series left to play, the boys have to add up to the 4 points that we have accumulated in order to secure one of the two upper bracket playoff spots up for grabs. And just when we needed it most, the boys worked our way up against Vega Squadron, defeating them 2-0 to end up with 6 points along with VGJ.Storm to advance at the upper bracket playoffs.
